To better meet the growing demand for lessons and guided excursions, especially on weekends, I've replaced my regular opening hours with a monthly open studio with refreshments (on the first Saturday of each month), as well as studio visits by appointment – anytime, including evenings and weekends.
And if you happen to be in the area and I'm at the studio anyway, you're always welcome to drop by.
I look forward to seeing you!
Do you know that feeling?
You come back from a trip, the suitcases are unpacked, the laundry is put away. And then comes the best moment: You upload the photos and see your impressions resurface, image by image.
Some are too bright, others too dark or blurry. The night shots didn't quite turn out. But then there's that one picture of the street vendor. And the one of the children on the roadside, running towards you laughing, dancing, and waving. And it's easy to remember what it was like there—in the magic of those very special moments.
And suddenly this question arises: How can you capture such moments more reliably? What transforms an everyday moment into something truly special?
The World of Photography – Fundamentals & Creative Inspiration
Workshop No. 1/12: From the Everyday to the Extraordinary, June 6, 2026, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
These monthly workshops will help you photograph more consciously, see more creatively, and develop long-term confidence in using your camera and composing your images.
The focus is not only on playfully exploring technology, but also on the joy of seeing, creating, and consciously perceiving – at home, while traveling, and in everyday life.
The workshops are suitable for beginners as well as for anyone who wants to deepen their photographic vision and gain new creative inspiration.
The workshops are in German language - if you are interested in English lessons, please be in touch.
Lofoten - Silent Light
Northern Lights, morning light, evening light, storm lights – light dancing on the water and light breaking through the waves.
I've been to Lofoten twice – during the quiet seasons of September and March: the days long enough to discover the land and its people, the nights dark enough to fulfill my hopes of seeing the Northern Lights.
As always when I travel, I arrived with preconceived notions and expectations – and as is usually the case when I leave, I returned with something completely different.
Saturday, June 6, 2026, 2–7 p.m.
Exhibition & Reception – every first Saturday of the month.
My monthly Open Studio is a warm invitation to everyone interested in my work and the possibilities of photography – for regular creative inspiration, to reconnect, ask questions, exchange ideas, and get to know each other.
Each Open Studio offers insights into my working methods, current projects, and new visual worlds over a relaxed reception, and also provides an opportunity for conversation – including about your own ideas, plans, and photographic projects.

I look forward to your visit – feel free to bring a guest.
...for everyone interested in private lessons and private tours – I've changed my pricing structure. Following the motto "Shared joy is double joy," I now offer the option of bringing a companion for the same price. For the third and fourth person, I charge half price. As always, I'm happy to advise you on the content. You can find all the information about private lessons and private excursions at the following links - lessons can be taught in German or English
Prints, Courses, Objects
For anyone looking for a special gift for photography and art enthusiasts, the studio always offers new options: lovingly framed small prints, for example of the mountains or personal favorite places, photo series in gift boxes, vouchers for courses or studio experiences, and more.
From the everyday to the extraordinary
"Remember what it means to be yourself."
(Laura Pashby, after Joan Didion)
We take photographs to remember – places, encounters, moods, and moments that have touched us.
Often, it all happens very quickly: We see something beautiful, point the camera, and press the shutter.
This is how ever-growing collections of images are created – and sometimes we later ask ourselves:
Why does this photo actually mean something to me? Or not?
Slideshow and Music
Thank you for your interest!
As always, I am very much looking forward to your requests,
and to hopefully see you again soon.
All the best,
